I’ve always loved photos, everyday snapshots, holiday moments, and especially family portraits. Even if they’re tucked away for months or years, when I look back on them, the memories come rushing in. It’s like a time stamp of life as it was.
Family pictures today aren’t just about sitting in front of a plain backdrop and smiling at the camera. You can really make it your own and have fun with it. When we plan our sessions, we choose locations we love, places that mean something to us. This year, we shot around downtown Brandon and wrapped up at one of our favourite ice-cream spots, Velvet Dip. Now, not only do we have beautiful family photos, but we also have a snapshot of our city—how it looks today, where we spent time, and what meant something to us.
For us, it’s more than just smiling for the camera. It’s about creating memories, having fun, and documenting a moment we’ll want to look back on for years to come.
